I don't read many books other then my vast collection of RPG books. I can honestly say I have never read any of the FR books, or battletech, etc. I'd like to start reading some to see what they're like since a lot of people seem to like them. What I need is help from you guys to recomend some books, details on what I want below..
What I'm looking for is Pure Scifi, nothing to do with fantasy. This means no Dragons, in space, no elves, no flying spelljammer type ships etc.. Hard scifi is my cup of tea really even when I play an RPG I prefer this type over all others. Here are some movies that I think capture the type of books I'd like to read, Aliens (any of them), Bladerunner, Pitch black.
Some of My Eq2 and WOW buddies sugested the following books, *note* I have no idea what they are.. "Weapon" friends say it's about a guy who is in the special forces and is inserted into deep over on a planet for 12yrs till they call on him.. "Watch on the Rhine" they didn't tell me much about this other then resurecting Nazis to fight aliens???
