What campy sources do you use as gaming inspiration?

Main Entry: 3camp
Function: noun
Etymology: origin unknown
Date: circa 1909
1 : exaggerated effeminate mannerisms exhibited especially by homosexuals
2 a : something so outrageously artificial, affected, inappropriate, or out-of-date as to be considered amusing b : a style or mode of personal or creative expression that is absurdly exaggerated and often fuses elements of high and popular culture <a movie that celebrates camp>

What do you use for inspiration that you would only call "literature" or "cinema" if you were being euphemistic? Whether kitschy, dated, or intentionally absurd, my list:

Final Fantasy I
Dungeons & Dragons: The Animated Series
Sword & Sorcerer
Deathstalker IV
Conan the Barbarian (movie)
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe
The New Mutants (especially with Magick)
Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Suikoden and Chrono Trigger ("unite attacks" and "dual techs" among other things)
Ronin Warriors
Power Rangers
Gundam, and pretty much any other giant robot anime
Final Fantasy I (particularly the warriors of light and 4 elemental crystals themes)
Shinobi and Nightshade videogames, Ask a Ninja, RealUltimatePower, other Ninja stuff
Order of the Stick
Samurai/Dynasty Warriors (Motochika SO makes me want to make some sort of Jamisen weapon that does sonic damage!)
Record of Lodoss War

Tons more anime and video games, I'm sure... And there's also the general concepts common to many games or anime. For example, the female PC walking around in her standard revealing, skimpy attire in an arctic environment, justified thanks to Endure Elements (which we are totally willing to buy for her, just so she doesn't have to cover up). Or getting hacked up to near death and yet after being healed, your clothes are immaculate and uncut, and free of even any blood stains.

When I ran Savage Tide, a lot of influence came from the latest King Kong movie (the Peter Jackson one from 2005: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_Kong_(2005_film )

There were just too many characters and settings that meshed with a good chunk of the Isle of Dread not to.'

Edit: Crud, you said campy: The Birdcage, Amadeus, Caligula have all been used as sources for characters too.

TVTropes
Fist of the north Star
Songs - "Big black horse and cherry tree" made a fun fae adventure.
"What is love" (Dixe Chicks) made a terrific adventure set in a version of Dingle, Ireland.

I can't say these are all campy but they are all media that heavily influence my games and often come with a not and a wink:

Final Fantasy games
Chrono Trigger
Power Rangers (My demonic random monsters are all unique, laugh a LOT, enjoy destroying things and emit lightning and a light show just before they fall over and blow up when they die. VERY fun)
Slayers
Record of Lodoss War
Breath of Fire series
Usagi Yojimbo (I've stolen a lot of UY's plotlines and they often become the more serious and darker stories)
Digimon
Dragonball
One Piece
World of Warcraft
Lovecraftian Mythos

I'll stop there. Tolkien and the "classics" have almost nothing to do with my games other than what D&D forces in.
