Defender: Very reluctantly Warden, probably Longtooth Shifter. I'm not crazy about their flavor, but I've always been bored with Fighters, and I'm currently playing a Paladin and two Swordmages. So I figure I owe the Warden a shot. Leader: About to start a Human Shaman Saturday. I'm Human primarily to take advantage of that extra At-Will. Almost every new class in PHBII has more than four At-Wills, most of them very well-balanced and well-designed, which makes the Human more attractive than ever. Plus, it's just fun have three options instead of two, even when your back is against the wall and you're out of Dailies and Encounters. Also curious about Clerics. Playing an Elf with a longbow that refluffs his lazer powers as blessings cast on his arrows sounds fun. Striker: Gnome Sorcerer! Probably Wild. My absolute favorite class/race combo in 3.5e, and I'm very happy about its 4e incarnation. Human Avenger is also very tempting. Barbarians and Rogues are also cool, but not my style (I prefer characters with a spell-casting flavor, if you haven't noticed). Only Rangers look truly unattractive to me; yeah, they're good, but I'd get sick of just Twin Striking every round. Controller: Human Invoker. I've been trying to play a Controller for the longest time, but every group I join always already has one. I'm not crazy about the Invoker's flavor, but their mechanics are great. I'm a very cautious player, the sort of person that would feel very conflicted about using blast and burst attacks that include my allies in their wake. What's cool about Invokers is that so many of their powers target enemies, and enemies only. Some even add Leader-like bonuses to allies, so I can blast away, guilt-free! Druids and Wizards are also very cool, though, so I'd be willing to play any of them. But whatever I pick, I'll definitely be playing as a Human.
