Nice work there, Gospog. I've done a few conversions myself with the clix, most of my conversions however have been taking old metal minis that I didnt need or like and jamming them together with old GW plastic parts to make them unique (or look like a different Alien race, etc). Pretty good paint on the clix, too, especially since most of 'em have a very marked lack of detail. We mainly use the Clix for the monsters, as the human-types usually have the worst detail for some reason, but we've fielded a few as baddies and whatnot. I cant stress enough how easy it is to do basic conversions (and how hard it is to do more elaborate ones :) ). A good saw, a pin vice drill, a touch of putty and some glue and you can switch around heads, arms, bodies, etc. A small price to pay to get that unique mini you want for a character or just for fun, if you are into mini painting. I did some fairly simple work once and came out with a pretty nice looking squad of Trandoshan bounty hunters for a Star Wars game that plagued my players endlessly. While I'm not a huge fan of the clix stuff, *especially* the new D&D plastic minis, but they do have some good uses for saving time and money, and for spare bits on the cheap when you need 'em. And if you get the right ones, they paint up nice (and even might occasionally have decent paintjobs already).
