No travelling, which saves a LOT of time. I stay home, which my wife likes. It makes my PDF's much more useful, because I can use the maps and pictures in Maptools. Its allowed me to find about 5 games to play in or run each week. I get to sit in my favorite chair. I can be in my underwear, if I wished. I was at home when a couple of emergencies occurred, which also made my wife very happy. I don't have to worry about anyone pigging out on my munchies or drinks. I don't have to worry about the last time anyone bathed. Its allowed me to get to know people living in other parts of the USA, Canada, Argentina, and South Korea. Several of the people like talking about gaming just as much as I do.We also typically game for 3 to 4 hours, and we do much more gaming and far less talking than I typically see in face to face games.I not only get to play C&C, but Warhammer, Traveller, Gear Kreig, Aces and Eights, Twilight 2000, L5R, Shadowrun 4E, 4E D&D, and several other games I can't recall right now. Plus we have Twilight 2013 coming up, and we are going to do a btb 1E game soon to see if the rules really were as bad as we think. We have yet to choose the module.So yeah, I like on line gaming a lot. I certainly wouldn't have played all these various systems over the last few years if I only did face to face.In fact, now that I have become very accustomed to online gaming (been doing it for nearly 3 years now), over all I prefer it to face to face.</blockquote>
