Third Edition, for example, was declared to be 'videogamey' and 'animey'.  I don't hear people who are using the term as a pejorative in reference to Fourth Edition saying "This is even more videogamey than 3.x!"  If I saw it used in that context (or even "D&D has been trending more and more to reflect the limitations and simplifications of console or PC RPGs, and it's a trend I don't like) I'd have less issue with it.Part of the problem I have with usage of the term is 'videogamey' to me is dramatically broad.  Twenty years ago, I'd have found it less so, perhaps.  But in a world with games like Mass Effect 2, Grand Theft Auto IV and Scribblenauts (to name a few), I'm having a hard time drawing the lines one what 'videogamey' actually is.  Most people probably mean CRPGs or just MMORPGs when they say 'videogamey'...but then I wish they'd just say that.  I certainly think there's validity to that argument.  To say that D&D is more like Scribblenauts, Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes or Heavy Rain?  Not as much.</blockquote>
