Or a masterwork one. i would figure there would be picks a metal saw a wood saw some oil and possibly some small bearings or things like that. We had this discussion the other night when my rouge wanted to oil up osme door hinges and saw through some metal bars. Sorry if this isnt quite right for these boars. But id like everyones opinion.

Whatever the rogue happens to need to open locks or disable a device.

Unfortuantely it is not defined at all. There can be lots of things that could be in there, but then the kit starts getting pretty big. I'd suggest just asking you DM if you can get a specific list of what is in yours and then you can add to it between adventures.

Some suggestions, courtesy of Aurora's Whole Realms Catalog (from descriptions and illustrations of "Lockpicks" and "Keymaking set"):

an assortment of wires, rods, and angled wrenches
a funnel, oils and weak acids
chisels, small hammer
assortment of skeleton keys
small magnifying glass
small hacksaw blades and metal files

Aurora's Whole Realms Catalog for 2nd Edition had three separate toolkits, the Hinge-Removing Set, Keymaking Set and Lockpicks, all three together would make good masterwork thieves tools, and the book described and illustrated their contents in great details.

What was in all three kits combined:
Wax pad for making impressions of keys
Stylus for marking metal key blanks
Blades and Files for cutting keys
Blank keys
Skeleton keys
Miscellaneous wires, rods and angled wrenches of various sizes.
Funnel
Magnifying glass
Hammers in a variety of sizes
Pliers
Small hand drill
Awl
C-Clamps
Vials of oils
Vials of acid
Set of chisels
Listening cone
Toolbelt, cases and pouches to hold it all
