What happened to the Ask Wizards?

This feature, while somewhat inconvenient to navigate contained many useful answers to rules queries. Currently, the 3.5 archive is present, but I couldn't find a direct link. OTOH, the 4e archive is gone from the Knowledge Base (but it appears that if you have a link to a specific answer, you can still find it). What gives?

Maybe WotC finally laid off "Wizards" just like they laid off "The Sage", and now you have to Ask "Bob in Accounting"?

Even when Ask Wizards was active, you could write to CS and get a quick answer (even if the accuracy might be debatable). The good thing about Ask Wizards, was that is looked far more accurate and I considered it as an additional FAQ. Actually, I don't understand why the repository for previous answers wasn't folded with the FAQs when they decided to discontinue the service.
