With that you are guided to the chitinous trail and see down lead into a hill that looks as though it does not belong here. You are this point, a good ways away from it.

The druidic magic is strange and dfficult to Seat, specially with an orc calling him "son". But he's finally able to master a spell that will call fierce animals to do his bidding. Anway he's ready to take on any monster.

Raven asks the orc tracker. "Will you be joining us on the assault? Do you know anything about their defenses, or the entrances?"

The orc says to you quietly " I will help with the assault, in a way. The tribe will keep a contingent, myself included, to come in and help if needed, however, for purposes of stealth, orkutsk has asked that it be just you 6. until then. I can tell you it is well guarded they appear to need to be within this cyst as they guard it jealously and have notoriously been laying traps for invaders. There is but one known entrance and that is the little 5 foot opening over there at the base. Good luck and may Vvarak guide our steps." With this the tracker peels back and you are alone.

Raven winces. "A single, trapped, well-guarded entrance." She shakes her head. "I don't like that at all. We could look around the hill, but if these orcs haven't found another entrance, we probably won't either. We'd just give ourselves away. I have a potion of invisibility now, and I have been trained to detect and disable traps. But I am not very good at moving silently. Still. I am willing to try to use the potion to scout ahead & disable what I can."


OOC: Mog - the XPs you now have listed in your tracking thread are sufficient to put Raven up a level. Have you officially awarded those? If so, when would you like them to be effecitve?

(OOC: Sweet! Congrats, Manz--I keep forgetting how far Raven is above everyone else, even before the XP; Siobhan and Stulgar aren't even close to a level up.

Just a random question for Mog though on procedure. I guess, I'm not sure how most people do it, and I certainly don't mind so far, but since you mention that there are many traps to come, I did notice that you gave XP for the last trap only to the Rogue who circumvented the trap, rather than split amongst the whole group. I'm just wondering--is that going to be standard operating procedure? Would that mean that, frex, someone with Diplomacy who talked down enemies instead of fighting would get all the XP for that and/or same thing with Druid Wild Empathy on animals? I guess I'm used to dividing encounter XP equally, including traps, etc. Either way is fine, I guess (and with one trap so far, it is certainly no big deal yet), I'm just curious.)
