Message: <blockquote data-quote="RangerWickett" data-source="post: 1636882" data-attributes="member: 63">Something kinda close.  In my last campaign, teleportation was going awry, so if you teleported, you'd hit a pocket of freezing void, and take damage that could kill you if you tried to teleport far enough.  Only Elves had figured out how to avoid this damage.We had a player in my game who was trying to woo this Elvish princess they had captured, named Shalosha.  Rantle, the human PC, was convinced Shalosha wasn't an enemy, but she hated the party, and the rest of the party didn't trust her.  Shalosha gets free in a rescue attempt by her allies, and during the fight, Rantle gets critted by her, taking something like 20 damage.  Though this isn't quite fatal, I decide for flavor that she has impaled him on her longsword, which is now stuck through the side of his abdomen.Rantle drops his swords, walks forward just a bit, then embraces and kisses her.Shalosha panics at this, and tries to dimension door away.  Rantle is holding onto her, though, so he goes with her.  She is unharmed because she has protections, but the short-distance teleport freezes Rantle, and he emerges nearly dead, at 0 hp.  Rantle smiles at her, then slides down off the length of the sword, slumping to the ground.  It was certainly a memorable kiss.</blockquote>
