What if Alan Tudyk and Nathan Fillion started a crowdfunding campaign?

Well, for one thing, it would almost immediately start breaking records. They're doing a web series called "Con Man" about, wait for it, a couple of guys, one who sank into anonymity and the other who became incredibly famous, after their science fiction TV show was cancelled just a few shows in.

$1.5M and counting. I'm of two minds about this. The obvious side is that I've loved everything these guys have done, including their charity work, so I really want to see this. They're good to their fans and generous with their time. On the other hand I'm not fond of when big name stars use crowdfunding to back a project, when it's really meant to help those who can't find funding through more traditional means.
