What is the Climb DC for an Angry Cloud Giant?

Despite the strangeness of the question, I do have a rational reason for asking it.

It started with me wondering what would happen if someone decided to try to jump onto an Ogres head in combat, and then trying to stay there.

However, I can also see some situations where jumping onto a creatures head (like a Cloud Giant or other giant humanoid) would be just a bit too difficult.

What sort of DC would you apply against a player trying to climb up a Cloud Giant that it is engaged in combat with? And how would you play out the situation?

I dunno what the DC is, but it'd be much easier if you had slippers of giant climbing. (Note that slippers of spider climbing won't work here, but they'd be useful if you tried to mount a monstrous spider.)

It depends. If the giant is clothed, DC:5, +5 if 9S0he is sweaty (as climbing a rope with wall to brace against, with "slippery" modifier). Unfortunately, there is no "earthquake" modifier under the climbing rules (and I doubt that the giant will just stand there and allow you to climb up its clothes).

If you're trying to climb a bare-legged giant, maybe DC:25 (as a smooth wall, angled in), with the possible +5 "slippery" and whatever you decide on for the "earthquake" modifier...

I can't see making it too tough... The real threat isn't the giant shaking you off, it's the giant stomping, grabbing and squishing, or just plain swatting you... Letting them make a climb check to get 15 feet up the giant's leg before they die (assuming they win Initiative) seems irrelevant, to me.

Shrug.
