My oldest and most favorite character is Calamar the Dark. He was played for a little more than a decade, on and off. He started as a human ranger and made his way up to 9th level and then I duel classed him into Druid. He eventuall attained, through a long trek of XP, the rank of the Grand Heriophant, a 23rd level druid. With no where else to go, he changed careers and went wizard. It was then that he died, in the akward phase of trying to level a 1st level wizard, and was reincarnated into a Drow Elf, thus the title Calamar the Dark. Since he was human and was now an elf, but with little rules on how to handle leveling, the DM ruled he could level as a human, so in the early 90's he finally gained 29th level in wizard. He would be fun to play again, but as you can imagine, he has great resources at his disposel, so I quietly mull over his character sheet from time to time, but never really entertain the idea of playing him any more. Currently, I have been playing in a friends game for the last three years where I have finally managed to get my character 1 fighter/7 rogue/2 assassin. The first character saw a lot of play, as like any teenager we played every waking moment we weren't forced to go to school. The second we only play once, sometimes twice a month. Both are fun to play, but it would be nice if the second character would level faster. At this rate he will only be 20th level in another 6 years :(
