Well, that wasn't my goal. You are obviously a sensitive guy, which I can appreciate, since I am too.:D You are taking this WAY too personally, and making incorrect assumptions about my motives. Because unless you are completely undetectable, the dragon has a chance to spot you. If he doesn't spot you, then sure...you get to surprise it. I never said you couldn't surprise him, just that it was very doubtful. Oh, and by the way, here's a nice tidbit from Dimensional Door that you neglected: "After using this spell, the character can’t take any other actions until the character's next turn." This is not how the readied action works. You can't ready an action that is triggered by yourself...otherwise, it would simply be a continuation of your turn, and not really even be "readying" anything. From the SRD: "The ready action lets a character prepare to take an action later, after a character's turn is over but before a character's next one has begun." You need to set a condition that hasn't happened yet, not one that will be triggered by yourself at the "end" of your turn. At least, that's how I interpret readying an action to work. I suppose I would let ethereal work, as long as the dragon couldn't also see ethereal, since you can cancel the spell just before you strike. However, your PC is going to have serious problems casting scrolls of this high a level. You are making so many rolls that something is bound to fail. I will go into this difficulty later.
