I can get behind that, though I'm opposed to the Druidic Paladin that I've seen others here espouse. I don't see Rangers as champions <em>of</em> Nature, merely operators that are comfortable in and familiar with the natural environment. </p><p></p><p>You also bring up a good point in that many game don't focus much exploration/wilderness part of adventuring, other than to hand wave most of it. This too, is a problem the Ranger concept struggles with in most games, imho.</p></blockquote><p></p>
