It would be less poor to have it lead to a chamber which contained a map that guided the party to another location. That location in turn would most likely be a step in the direction of the goal, etc. I don't think this is really very relevant to the point I was making, which was about who was in charge of the direction and content of the fiction. In the endless maze it is clearly the GM, entirely. When the player can declare an action to reveal an element of the scene that addresses his agenda, then he's achieved some control over the narrative.</p></blockquote><p></p>
