I can't pick just one, so I picked Other. I think because it all gels for me as a whole... very likely wrapped in a healthy dose of nostalgia. But... I watched the original the other day - the one I will always call "Star Wars" - for about the twelve-thousandth time. I watched the stupid little original cut they stuck on the special edition disks... I bought it FOR the stupid little original cut. You guys know what I mean? The original widescreen, but stuck into a letterbox back in the days of 4:3 TV and never fixed for modern widescreens, so even on HDTV it's either a tiny window, or kinda blurry if you expand it... But we watched it my son and I, killing time on New Year's Eve, and I asked him "Special Edition or Han Shoots First." And we watched this stupid little picture inside my nice TV... and (I actually spotted a new goof - new to me. I love when that happens)... OMG. The music, the mystique, the moment Obi-wan surrenders, Han saying "We're fine, we're all fine down here, thanks. How are you?" And that face he makes because he knows he's screwed up. And "Use the Force, Luke..." and Han coming back and shouting "You're all clear kid, now let's blow this thing and go home!" And the Death Star going FWOOOOOOOM And the medal scene, and ten year old me falling in love for the first time... And yes, the music all throughout, infecting the mood. It's...
