<blockquote data-quote="chrisnd" data-source="post: 1888123" data-attributes="member: 26307">I think (hope) you guys might like this one.When I first started playing, my first character was a CN theif.&nbsp; My best friend played a CE Necromancer.&nbsp; A new player joined the group (whom we were none too pleased about), and we dicided to &quot;take care of him&quot;.&nbsp; His character was another spellcaster, of which we did not really want in the group (the DM allowed him to join us as a &quot;favor&quot;).&nbsp; So, when we were camping one night (the characters, not us), my theif was on watch.&nbsp; I woke up the Necromancer, and we proceeded to tie up the other mage.&nbsp; I then proceeded to chop his toungue off and cast it away.&nbsp; The spellcaster was rendered effectively useless, as my buddy rolled a &quot;19&quot; for his grapple check, and I rolled a &quot;natural 20&quot; for my &quot;toungue slice&quot; manuever!&nbsp; A brilliant piece of work, if I do say so myself, and when the mage woke up, he soon realized that he could not cast any spells or even talk.&nbsp; The player never did find out what happened, and eventually left the group.&nbsp;&nbsp; Mission accomplished!The second story is much more recent.&nbsp; We just started a new campaign, and a brand new player to the game is in our group.&nbsp; He plays the 1/2 orc barbarian, as plays him rather mellow-like and serene.&nbsp; He and I had just created the character about 2 hours prior to this particular encounter, and he was still learning the mechanics of the game itself, and also trying to &quot;play&quot; the character.&nbsp; I had given him pointers on the finer art of playing a barbarian (i.e. big axe, rage, and intimidate).&nbsp; I had even given him a bonus +2 mod to his intimidate skill to add some encouragement to rollplay the beast.&nbsp; The klutzy paladin accidentally started digging around where he should not have been digging, and woke up a dire weasel.&nbsp; I asked the barbarian what he was going to do - he said &quot;I will intimidate it.&quot;&nbsp; I was floored -&nbsp; I honestly thought he would just swing his big axe at it or something, but he said &quot;Remember that scene in Star Wars where Chewy scares the droid as he was being taken to the prison Cell Block 112A?&nbsp; Well, that's what I do - just like that.&quot;&nbsp; Again, a moment of silence on my part (I really hadn't expected that), and the other players are starting to laugh.&nbsp; How in the world do you intimidate a rabid creature who's lair has just been invaded???&nbsp; So, I told him to roll a d20 - he rolled a &quot;2&quot;.&nbsp; So the dire weasel latched his jaws onto his arm and proceeded to bite the crap out of him.&nbsp; But we were all laughing pretty hard.Geez, I really do love this game!</blockquote>
