Message: <blockquote data-quote="Presto2112" data-source="post: 1890508" data-attributes="member: 18303">I think this one is a tie.1)  I had just joined my old friend's gamed and had finished creating a level 7 female elf character named Laithian.  The first game I played in the party was all bunked in for the night when we were ravaged by a rampaging ettin.  Laithian's first action (I had rolled to go first during the initiative roll) was "I hide in the woods!"  Everyone else took their turns hacking and spellslinging the giant, to no avail, he kept wailing on everyone, while Laithian spent two rounds getting behind the brute.  She finally emerged with a mighty backstab (that's right, not sneak attack, but BACKSTAB) with her katana (so what?  an elf had a katana!) for 3xd12 damage.  I rolled a 12.  The official sound effect I uttered for a 36 point backstab, and for every high total backstab thereafter, was adopted as *GUTCH!*, and "I hide in the woods" became Laithian's trademark line.2)  Same party.  I had been playing Laithian for a long time and decided to take a break from her for a while to play a fighter.  Unfortunately he didn't last long, so the next session after he was drowned the DM asked me to Guest-play the main villain, the avatar of Set.  Through an awesome combination of my roleplaying and the other players mistakes and lousy roles, the party was reduced to 2 characters - two paladin sisters, who instead of being decimated by a denizen of evil, commited ritual suicide.  I, being one who appreciated poetic irony, animated the two corpses just to watch them kill each other again and again.  The Player (one one the suiciders was an NPC) didn't talk to me for a couple of days after that.</blockquote>
