Interesting how many Epic parties have been typed up here so far. I run two games, both featuring some fairly exotic characters thanks to a world designed for that. Epic party: -CG Human-variant Fighter 10/Timewalker 19 (Timewalker is a homebrew prestige class designed for mobility and quick strikes, he abuses it to max potential by wielding a Greatsword) -NG Elf Psion (Shaper) 8/Sangehirn 3/Mindsmith 17 (Mindsmith is yet another homebrew PrC, this one focused on creating items- it has half manifester level progression, so he only recently got 9th-level powers) -CN Half-Fire Elemental Tabaxi-variant Sorcerer 21/Favored Soul 4/Mystic Theurge 3 (Favored Soul is for the Nature goddess, so by house rules this gives her Druid spells instead of Cleric) -NG Human-variant Bard 28 -NG Half-Water Elemental Elf Negator 28 (Negator is a homebrewed variant of the Sorcerer class that uses Negative energy as its source of power- obviously heavy Necromantic focus but also has Acid and Cold effects) -CG Very Old Pink Dragon (Dragons in my game can gain age categories with XP by advancing in a racial class, which is what this character and the next have done- also, Pink Dragon is obviously a homebrew dragon type) -TN Ancient Deep Dragon Whew. Like I said, exotic. :) The Fighter is the nominal party leader because his player is the most assertive, but in the last several "adventures" as such he's done little if any party direction. This group has their fingers in a lot of pies. The non-Epic (Evil-aligned) party: -LE Psylon Telepath 16 (Psylon is a weak subrace of illithid with no spell-like/psi-like abilities whose main power boost aside from stats is gaining extra psionic power points) -LE Human-variant Bard 7/Antipaladin 9 (Antipaladin is a homebrew PrC that is basically a holy warrior of the LE god of Power- all Paladin-types in my game are actually prestige classes) -NE Human Ranger 16 (Archery path) -TN Orc Conjoiner 16 (Conjoiner is a homebrew base class that advances both spellcasting and psionics simultaneously- at 16th level his best powers and spells are 5th level) -NE Human-variant Florant 15 (Florant is another Sorcerer variant, this time getting its power from plants and nature so it's heavily Enchantment-focused with some Druid spells on the side) -NE Crystalloid Warlock 15 (Crystalloid is a PC-available Earth Elemental race; this character just joined the party) In that party the Telepath is the leader, played by the same guy who plays the Fighter in the first group- but in this one there's no question of his leadership. The Antipaladin acts as a close second, and sometimes takes over the leadership reins when the Telepath's player is absent or doesn't feel like making any decisions for some reason. These parties get into some very wild events, let me tell you. But even with all the weirdness, we have plenty of fun; the players certainly must be enjoying the games, because they keep coming back after 5 1/2 years. :)
