What issue had the 4 page Warhammer Insert (1985 or 86)? Help

All: I'm looking for which issue of Dragon magazine had a 4 page insert advertisement for the Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay game. I recall from my childhood that the issue introduced that 45 character careers and the system in general as well as a short story.

It would have been somewhere around 1985 or '86.

Have you tried asking on the "read every issue of Dragon" thread? Those folks might know, even if it didn't show up in their review.

I'd like to know as well. Sounds like a sweet insert. I used to love the old Warhammer ads in Dragon. What's not to love about dwarves w/ orange mohawks?

Thanks dude. I figured I'd hit them up next. I remember seeing the ad as a kid and thinking "how cool." Suddenly the issue came up on the WFRP forums and I'm frustrated at my ability to find the issue with teh ad. I've searched my CD ROM, but I get the feeling that the insert was "excluded."

Meanwhile, if anyone else remembers/can-research which issue that was in, I'd be obliged

Those guys are going through the Dragon Archive pds unless I'm mistaken, so if the inserts aren't in there they probably won't know.

If GW was smart, they put the insert into one of the issues with a WFRP review in it. Per Dragondex, they were:

Dragon Issues

The issues you are wanting is 116. It was the first issue of dragon I ever owned. It has a red dragon on the cover. The issue included a cut out 3d sailing ship and featured articles on maritime adventures. My pdf copy does not have the ad but it is in that issue. I was a big fan of the ad and read it several times.
