Bawylie

A very OK person
Adventure Product I am most likely to purchase:

1.) Single Adventure (multiple sessions of play)
2.) Side Track Adventure (single session of play)
3.) Multiple Adventures (tied to a setting, locale, or theme)
4.) Multiple Side Tracks (tied to a setting, locale, or theme).

Assume all offerings are PDFs with B&W art and priced no higher than $10 for largest offering.

A single long adventure and multiple side treks are functionally the same. It's a cosmetic difference. Except that you can ignore some flavour and run a large single adventure as a number of side quests and location based adventures, but it's more work to add a cohesive plot to a series of unconnected delves.

Poll is phrased so that I am not only invited to give multiple answers, but encouraged to do so... and yet it is a single choice poll.

I buy adventures based on what they are about story-wise, and whether that interests me or not - the length of the adventure, or number of adventures contained within one purchase, does not directly factor. It does indirectly factor into the purchase decision by setting the pricing, which matters because I won't pay more than about $5/session-worth of content no matter the production value of the product.

I would buy any of the four.

Out of curiosity, why B&W art?

Because I am a cheap ******* and will pass the savings on to You!

Color is more expensive to commission than B&W, it's also less printer-friendly. I can Art myself, but if I do commission it's more likely to be B&W than color. Further, it's not something I intend to KS, so I have to manage my own expenses.

(Cough)

If I were to produce anything, I mean.

My 1st Poll! So please forgive my ineptitude. I do this from my phone and have to get in to desktop mode on safari instead of going through Tapatalk. Consequently, this is what I got.

As far as content goes, I understand completely that it's a primary consideration. And unless the product is interesting, nobody will put any $ on it. But I am p curious as to what the community is looking for.

$5/session is about the most I'd pay, too.

I voted for single session side track adventures. Long sweeping detailed plots I can come up with no problem, but the session to session nitty-gritty of the PCs find if they go off track or things to do between grand sweeping adventures can be time consuming. What is also fun is to have small adventures that I can then weave into a narrative so keeping the details about exactly where a thing is located or exactly how the PCs get involved is a big bonus.
