It's fairly big for everything but game night. Six guys heat up a room fairly quickly. We play on a nice conference table with a homemade raised battle board. After being inspired by the website about the Ultimate Gaming Table (just google it if you haven't seen it), I've decided to design my own Gaming Table with slightly less complicated designs. My gaming group doesn't know about it yet, but I'm a few weekends away from finishing it.The new table is solid oak, nearly 8' long and 5' wide. It has a rounded end on one side, and a round notch cut in the opposite end so the DM gets two 'wings'. Each is large enough for a laptop or an open book or so. With the current battle board in the middle, each player will have 18" of depth in front of him/her. Easily enough for an open book plus dice space. The DM gets something like 7 or 8 square feet of area to work on. Maybe more.I'm building the undercarriage now and since the top is looking very elegant (way more so than I expected), I'm going to take the time to build nice storage shelves into the base. Once the guys know about the table, I'll post the pictures of the build on my website.Also, one of the guys donated some great LOTR 4' banners to the room. I've got those hanging at the end of the table.</blockquote>
