What monsters do you want to see in Dragon magazine?

Choose as many as you like! see below for notes.

BOZ

Creature Cataloguer
Now that we know the plan for the Creature Catalog articles in Dragon magazine (not to be confused with our very own website; see Dragon #339 for details), I want to send in a big ol' query. I plan on mixing in both some original creations, as well as some conversions. So, this poll is to determine which conversions you all would most want to see. :)

For simplicity's sake, I'm going to limit this first query's conversions to just what is on this list. Never fear! I'm sure that I will do another one later, and I'm sure other intrepid people will take up the mantle and do something similar. If you see something you want that's not on this list, go ahead and mention it below.

The list above reflects a number of nominations by forum members, filled in with some numerous choices of my own (all creatures without parenthetical notes are taken from the Creature Catalog website).

What a sorry bunch of losers. This list really proves that we're scraping the bottom of the barrel in terms of conversions at this point. Some of these things stand a 0% chance of making it into the magazine.

That said, I voted for about eight of them. ;)

i'll confess to adding the Al-mi'raj and Umpleby... i guess i'm just a sucker for all the oddballs from the ol' Fiend Folio. ;)

there are hundreds of conversions remaining from older books (a significant number of them from Mystara, Spelljammer, Ravenloft, and the like), so i doubt we've truly hit the bottom of the barrel just yet. i'm sure i could have put together a more appealing (or was that appalling?) list of candidates if i had spent more time on it. :)

Just curious BOZ, when does the poll close? At what point do we (and by we, I mean you) look at the results and decide there's been enough input, and choose the winners to be in the next submission?

given that the results have been coming in a lot faster than i expected, i will probably close it sometime this week.

besides, a whole lot of people seem to want to see the quickling in print again, including the EiC! ;)
