My fiance would say I collect anything and everything , but here is what I consider to be actual collections (as opposed to neat stuff that takes up space in my office/game room): Legos - almost a closet full, mostly pirate, Star Wars, and castle sets, but lots of other sets too. Comic Books - I used to have several thousand, but sold them to pay the rent when I was living in New York City several years ago. I now only collect a few monthly titles, as I'm becoming more focused on graphic novels and collected storylines. Star Wars Figures - I don't buy many of the new figures, but I do have a very large collection of the original figures, playsets, and ships (lots of them from when I was a kid) Fantasy & SF books - not just novels, but art books and other related titles as well. Books related to the Shawangunk mountains of New York - I grew up at the foothills of the Shawangunk (pronounced Sha-wan-gum) mountains, worked at Minnewaska State Park in the mountains, and still try to get back to hike 2 or 3 times a year. Books in general - I've worked in bookstores, worked for a major publisher, and now work in a library. I like books. Antique, new, used, whatever. The knowledge that can be found in books fascinates me. CDs - mostly rock and 90s grunge/alternative. Lots of weird stuff too. Grateful Dead and Phish live shows - no longer actively collecting shows, but I have upwards of 500 shows between the two bands on tape or CD. Jade Plants - well, maybe not a collection, but every time my big plant drops a leaf or branch, I have to stick it in soil to root. The damn things grow so easily, I now have 8 or 10 pots with 6 or 8 plants growing in each.
