It's not just the bad breath, it’s also the only core race with a strength bonus (the key ability for 4 classes) and charisma is also useful for many classes. No other race got so much love.As for the flavour, dragonborn is the most erm… exotic race, so any group with a player who likes to play freaky monsters is going to have one.Those who prefer thin humans with pointy ears have 3 races to pick from, depending on which class they want to play, those who like short races have two. So it's not a such a surprise that db is doing better. I'm not sure it would be the case if there was another core monster race or strong race to split the vote.</blockquote>
