So I've been pondering what my next 4e project should be and I wanted to see what ENWorlders would like to see for 4e. My first project, the Auxiliary martial controller class is now in playtesting and I'm still waiting on the next GSL FAQ before starting another project... which of course means I've got a bit of free time and I'm looking to fill it up with a 4e project. So here's the rules: Round 1 (lasts until midnight Monday July 28th): 1) From now until midnight on Monday July 28th you can propose up to 5 projects for consideration. 2) The 4e project needs to conform with the GSL and SRD's restrictions. So it should focus on "add-on" fluff or rules and not redefining 4e References. It could be an adventure, a rule's supplement (something you'd like to see added to 4e that's not there now), a fantasy location (i.e. a points-of-light backdrop for a campaign), or something else that you'd like to see that fits the fantasy genre. 3) It should fit within 10,000 to 20,000 words range (12 to 24 pages of text). I might end up longer if someone comes up with a really interesting idea and/or I get carried away with one of the ideas ;) Round 2 (From Monday July 28 to Friday August 1): 1) I will compile a list of the top 5 to 10 proposals based off of people's responses here (and what I am interested in). 2) Everyone votes for a 4e projects they'd like to see designed by me. 3) The voting will go until Friday, August 1. At that time I'll tally up the votes and pick one of the top three vote getters as my next 4e project and keep the other ones in mind for future reference. For those who are unfamiliar with my work you can check out my sig for more details. Thanks in advance to everyone at ENWorld who participates in this thread. I've been a member here for a long time and I figured this might be a cool way to involve you in my design work. I look forward to seeing what you all come up with for me ;) Proposals So Far (in Alphabetical Order): 1) Adventurer's Almanac Book (Points of Light): Using the 4e assumed campaign setting create a year's worth of adventuring seeds along with useful advice, topics of interest, a calendar of social, political, and astronomical events, holidays, a who's who, and perhaps some fake advertisements (including new equipment, alchemical material, etc.) 2) Fantasy Backdrop Book: Design generic and unique adventure locations for use in any campaign (rope bridges, volcanic cavern, etc.).
