At @pukunui 's suggestion in the previous Maps thread, I used the feedback tool to submit some suggestions. After testing Maps and combat with a couple other players from my group, here's what ended up making my list:

Ability to add a grid overlay to an uploaded map (or even an official map, EX. to turn the Infinite Staircase maps from 1 square = 10ft to 1 square = 5ft)
Condition markers that players can mouse over to see what condition they represent (the colored rings are halfway to this)
DM version of official adventure maps on the DM view, player version on the player view (so I can see room numbers)
Ability to share images and text in the game log, as Roll20 allows
I told them to look at what is possible in the game log with Roll20 + the Beyond20 browser extension. Single-click posting of spell text, save DCs, etc. This might almost be too much, since the Maps game log seems to be striving for carefully cultivated displays of dice rolls over anything else. I can always check the character's sheet and read the spell there. But I guess I've been spoiled by using the Roll20+Beyond20 combo for years.
I added something @pukunui mentioned in a thread somewhere about being able to toggle token sizes without having to make a second token or use an overlay, EX. if the spell Enlarge/Reduce is used.
I gave feedback on a bug with the new grouping elements feature. If I allow players to group an overlay and their token (EX. when they cast Spirit Guardians), then I ungroup those elements on the DM view, they are ungrouped on DM view but not on the player view. On the DM view one of my players turned into an overlay and their character token stopped moving when I did this.
Something I removed after testing with players:

I initially thought the fog of war tool looked messy. Especially on big official adventure maps where you have to zoom 300% to see a single room, the edges are very pixelated when I erase. But when I tested with players, they didn't notice and they also got a kick out of watching me manually reveal the room.
