What spell is this?

I was reading the War of the Spider Queen, and Phauran used this spell that crystallized his enemy in the 2nd book. Is there a spell like that?

On an unrelated side note, are there any good spells that have a drow component?

Haven't read the book, but there's a spell called Glass Strike in the Spell Compendium that can turn an enemy into glass.

Why not a simple Flesh to Stone?

"Drow component?" As in, the caster needs to have a drow in-hand that's used up in the casting? Huh. I think I know what we need to add to the FR to get rid of that drow problem they've got going on.

Joking aside, I'd probably assume Flesh to Stone in a core game, with just a modified descriptor, or Glass Strike, as Shilsen mentioned, if you're using the Spell Compendium.

Like most of the lazier psionic powers, it's exactly the same as a spell with some word scratched out and "crystal" written in.
