What spells does Protection From Evil block?

One of the effects of protection from evil is to block mental control. It is a tad on the vague side as to which spells this includes. Is there anything that spells* out what is and is not effected by Pro. Evil?

*Pun included at no extra cost.

a/ Spells of the Charm subschool.
b/ Spells of the Compulsion subschool that grant ongoing control over the subject.

Ongoing control seems to be defined by the ability to change the orders the subject is under, throughout the duration of the spell. For example, Sleep is a Compulsion, but your control is not ongoing; you make them fall asleep at the start of the spell, and you are thereafter unable to influence their actions. Similarly, Geas is a Compulsion, but once the command is given at casting time, you cannot change it. Domination, on the other hand, allows you to continually update what orders the subject has; this represents ongoing control.

So would the Suggestion spell and similar spells be useless against someone with Protection from Evil?

Suggestion is a Compulsion, but it does not grant ongoing control; once you've given your suggestion, you no longer have any way to change the course of action the subject is undertaking. So Protection from Evil provides no immunity to Suggestion.

It pretty much grants immunity against all [Charm] effects, Dominate and Magic Jar plus similar abilities, like the possession from a ghost.
