I will start running Beyond the Wall again relatively soon. I'm not sure where exactly that would fit, but I put it into the B/X bucket for the time being. This also fits with Dolmenwood being next in line for D&D-ish games.
The variant/equivalent part eluded me, since there were no non-D&D poll choices. But that detail really waters down the poll, since the question becomes "what game are you playing, but really, what version of a D&D game are you playing?"I read OP's question "what version 'or its equivalent'" as offshoots like ToV/A5E etc. Or, more likely, your post has gone entirely over my head![]()
I don't see how it is an important distinction. The difference between playing B/X and OSE is almost entirely aesthetic. The variant/equivalent part eluded me, since there were no non-D&D poll choices. But that detail really waters down the poll, since the question becomes "what game are you playing, but really, what version of a D&D game are you playing?"
There should be a final choice: indie/small publisher D&D alternatives.
2024 with some 2014 options.
