They messed up this generation.  Xbox has one big thing going for it. Gamepass. You pay a subscription fee and get access to 200 odd games or more. You'll never play all of them so it's fantastic  value. Last I looked Fallout and Mass Effect trilogy is on it. If you like car racing games Forza is great. How much it costs in your country no idea. Best for backwards compatability. I've ran random original Xbox and 360 games on mine. It doesn't gave the exclusive titles though.  Both Xbox and PS5 are the worst generation in terms of original titles. There's a lot of updated PS4 and Xbox games though. Both have very similar stores and do 75% off sales or whatever. You can get gold pack games for peanuts and those games may be a year or two old with all DLCs. Pretty game from 2016 is still pretty generally. PS5 is better than Xbox but not by much in terms of exclusives (they're both anemic vs earlier generations) Wife loves her switch but has commented on the price of its faces. Sales are few and far between and modest by comparison. Best unique and exclusive titles assuming you like Nintendo games.  Xbox game pass also applies to PC. You'll have to look into that more though. Xbox and PS4/5 are functionally the same for running things like Netflix, Disney+ or whatever through. Mate has new Xbox that and PS5 both boot up damn fast compared to PS4/Xboxone. They're all good to some extent assuming you're into what they're offering.   Ask your wife how much money you want to throw at it. PS5+portal us great but expensive. Switch is more casual/Nintendo orientated and expensive. Xbox best value for money vs time, PS5 probably best machine and UI.</blockquote>
