His house was the leader of a major mercenary's guild. He loved to watch his fathers pet lions fight and play. He would even sometimes sneak out of the town to go find wild lions. He only ever found one however. In some madness, he was only a boy of 14 after all, Aemon decided to challenge the lion. Using strength he did not know he had he finaly managed to subdue the lion, but not before receiving a large scar across his left eye rendering it useless. His father did not send for a healer and instead his personal gaurdsmen walked towards the boy, one of them stretched out his hand and placed it over the socket where his eye had once been. He could see again, he went racing to a mirror and when he saw his reflection he saw that his left eye had been replaced by a golden crystal.</blockquote>
