I will likely be submitting multiple entries because I have three (!) settings ready to be developed, with more on the way...sadly, few d20 companies have expressed interest in new settings, and I'm not in a position to start my own. I might post my proposals a few days after I mail them, but suffice to say I think each of my ideas will satisfy some of the desires expressed here. :) (Edit: No, never mind about the posting for now - someone in one of the other threads had a good point; such behavior might compromise the integrity of the blind judging. Mind, I don't think any of the judges would know who I am, or care, but it's probably best if everyone avoids posting their setting ideas. Also, in light of AV's explanation to the effect that WotC is looking primarily for medieval fantasy, one of my ideas is officially out of the running again. Damn, and it was a really cool concept too - steampunk alternate Earth where Rome never existed. Think about it for a moment; the mind boggles.) Incidentally, the agreement for the initial submissions does not (according to my reading) grant WotC any rights over said submissions - that comes later. Possibly much later; I don't think the ten semi-finalists will have to give WotC the rights to their settings either. So the authors of the proposed settings that don't make it will probably be able to publish elsewhere...unless, of course, they're in the final three.
