Ad hominem right out of the gate and so soon? Usually the last resort of the desperate and floundering. That was remarkably quick. Nope. Nothing like it. You may be trying to achieve the same result. But not via the same methods. Now who isn't doing the necessary reading? The recipient of a cleric's magic need not give a darn about the cleric nor his/her deity to benefit. In fact, the recipient can be actively opposed and it doesn't matter. It is completely relationship agnostic. Which is the opposite of the typical warlord class features being attempted, which works to force the narrative of a specific relationship. Not shockingly, the relationship that places your warlord PC in a position of power and influence over the others at the table. I'm starting to see an unfortunate pattern here with personality types and the need to boss other players around the table. Interesting. I wonder what is really going on here... Nope. The battle master is an active participant in the fight. His actions (not words alone) are what generate opportunities for his/her allies. Not simply kicking up a lawn chair while yelling at the other PCs how do better do their job. If you can't see the difference that's on you. Stretching so thin to grasp such a flimsy handful of straw seems almost painful. Are you okay? Wow is that wrong. You are pretty terrible at this. "Honestly"? That's hilarious. You've twisted and wrung that PHB so thoroughly, to achieve the desired narrative, that you've invented Fresh Squeezed D&D Juice(TM). Let me know when you decide to address what I actually said, instead of what you wished I said to better serve your agenda. That you can equate something so obviously magical, to my words, and I quote, "(non-magically) inspires," is beginning to border on pathological. More ad hominem. Predictable. Sad and predictable. Unfortunately all too common with amateur armchair game designers who lack any real under-the-hood experience and system knowledge.
