What's going on with drivethrurpg.com?

Well, it seems that White Wolf have themselves as brand new online store for electronic products. It's called drivethrurpg.com, and seems to be modelled along the lines of RPGNow.com.

There are a couple of notable differences:

• The new site uses Digital Rights Management (DRM) to protect the electronic files available from the store.
• The new site has available electronic versions of various print products, and plans to make that a large part of its service.

It seems that Malhavoc Press and Fiery Dragon Productions have left RPGNow to set up shop with the new site (of course, both are or once were part of the White Wolf/Sword & Sorcery family) and Necromancer Games' (also under S&S's umbrella) hardback Tome of Horrors II features prominently, too).

There's a lot of discussion going on about this new development. So far, most of it seems to be negative, but I'll leave you to read the threads for yourselves and make your own minds up:
