Message: <blockquote data-quote="GQuail" data-source="post: 2694448" data-attributes="member: 30709">Why, thank you.  Like I said, I've lurked a good while (eventually getting an account but never, until now, being bothered to post ;-) ) and my D&D party are oft subject to the silly stories I read about here.  <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f642.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":-)" title="Smile    :-)"  data-smilie="1"data-shortname=":-)" />Anyway, I didn't mention the books I use, which may be seen as a vital omission by some!   <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f600.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":D" title="Big grin    :D"  data-smilie="8"data-shortname=":D" />   I've got a copy of the core rules by me at all times, other books sometimes beside me if I know I'm going to use them.  (RIght now, Frostburn has just gone away, DMG II stays by me and Weapons of Legacy will probably be needed next session.)The DM Cupboard I mentioned is a few meters behind my chair (it's marked out by a drawing of the Dungeon Master form the old D&D cartoon my previous flatmate did for me ;-) ) and that's where the rest of my books and magzines, for all RPGs, live otherwise.  It's no big deal if someone suddenly wants to cast a spell from Libris Mortis or whatever, but as quite a few of my players have only really played in my campaign, there's only a couple who regularly consult non-core books so it's rarely a factor.  :></blockquote>
