What's New with Phil and Dixie - Where'ditgo?

Anyone else notice that What's New is no longer in Dragon? I don't recall any announcement or comment about that, though I only have done a cursory look for such a thing.

Anyone know what is up with that? Is Phil taking a break? I was quite happy to see it come back after so many years of being gone. I think the comic was one of the first things I read when I picked up my first copy of Dragon (issue 63) so many moons ago.

Well, it's been around a long time, but it was also getting pretty repetitive.

Maybe he wanted a break, maybe the folks at Dragon thought it was getting tired. Dunno.

I don't have any answers, but I also noticed it's been gone, and I also miss it. To me, the rest of the content of Dragon is getting kinda tired, while the comics were at least still fun to read. Having them get pulled is disappointing.

And I'm still a bit fan of Phil's "Myth Adventures" comics from back in the day. I still imagine Aahz and Skeeve looking just like he drew them.

Makes me hang onto my TPB versions of the novels all the more, since most of them sported Phil's covers and illos within. It was disappointing that the recently-released last novel of the series didn't have his work in it, since the Myth novels without Phil's artwork just doesn't seem right.

There was a recently released last novel in the series? What's it called?

I'll miss ole' Phil. Phil Foglio was at a convention I was at in Winnipeg and I happened to have a Dragon Magazine with cover art by Phil (Picture of a warrior woman looking into a mirror and seeing a 'modern' society reflection of herself). Phil was nice enough to autograph the magazine for me :)
