On the other hand, a game that is more rule-based (such as 3e, for example) might also have an answer- if there isn't a rule, it's not do-able. 5e, by having both codified rules as well as an allowance for playing to the fiction, also has to deal with the fact that it doesn't have a single solution to this issue.
