When our group plays we always make comments from previous fights, roleplay or just general encounters. I was wondering what sort of things other enworlders have come across and remember so well. I have a couple of things I remember really well, so I'll post them and hopefully get things moving. Both of these happened early on in my D&D life with my 1st & 2nd characters. The 1st was an elvish fighter/cleric, we were in the midst of a war with orks and we went back in time to alter the past to change our futures. The task was to go into the orks domain, save a woman who was to be sacrificed upon an alter and stop an undead creature from slaying the paladin in the group in the past. Well the scene was set we were upon a balcony ready to go in, we talked, decided to drop off the balcony and rush the alter taking as many orks down as possible. I was going 1st and dropped over into the midst of the ork warriors only for the rest of the group to decide to soften the enemy up with spells and missle fire from the balcony. Anyway not detered I carried on with the plan making my way towards the alter only to be put down to 0hp's as I reach the creature. I did survive as the rest made a move in and a high level npc group came in from elsewhere with meteor swarm and the such lasting the orks to bits. The 2nd was in a pirate campaign where I was a minotaur fighter with a great axe that never stayed in my grasp. I managed to wedge it 1st into a tree, borrowed another minotaurs axe to use and the head of the axe flew into the undergrowth in the following round. I dragged the 1st axe out of the tree to throw the whole lot into the undergrowth the following turn (Pesky 1's) I finally lost the axe when I smashed it upon an iron banded door and shattered the head. The other bit of his story was his luck with traps where I rolled 19 and two 20's in 3 consecutive rounds triggering traps but taking no effect. This was a common theme throughout his 6 level career until he was turned back to human and killed by a nest of giant spiders which I lit with a torch.
