Much of its power draws from Inspiration points which can only be accumulated by levels in the class (save <a href="http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/frcc/20070606" target="_blank">Font of Inspiration</a>) and those same abilities can have the bonus depend on one's Factotum class level.
