What's your favorite Prestige Class and why?

So many to choose from.

As I am always a DM, I have used many PrC's for npc's, but never as a player. One of my players has a ghostwalker character.

Favorite NPC classes as a DM:
  • Arcane Devotee - fits lots of concepts
  • Wasteland Druid from AEG's undead - very cool villain PrC
  • Templar - nice spin on a holy warrior
  • Maho Tsukai - another way cool villain PrC
  • Archmage - you need those high level brooding mages.
  • True Necromancer
  • Acolyte of the Skin
  • Summoner (R&R)

What sounds like fun to me?
  • Templar - nice spin on a holy warrior
  • Duelist
  • Weapon Master
  • Divine Agent (though spellcasting levels need shored up)
  • Blade Dancer
  • Tatooed Monk
  • Iron Hand Disciple (Jade & Steel)

Also, Jesse "Tuerney" Dean made some pretty cool arcane PrCs on my d20 prestige classes mailing list that were way cool... they MAY appear in print somewhere closeby real soon.

I like the archamage the best, although i've only used it on an npc but he was pretty amazing.
I also like the weaponmaster. a pc in my campaign is running one and his skill with the greataxe makes my job very hard :)
and for some reason i like the candle caster, maybe it's just all the free metamagic feats.

Arcane Devotee (FR)
Archmage (FR)
Divine Champion (FR)
Divine Disciple (FR)
Heirophant (FR)

The FR book seems to me to have much better classes than any of the other books (official or not). I also kind of liked the Mystic Wanderer from Magic of Faerun.

Eldritch Master from Dragon, the real sorcerer.

Holy Liberator, non awful-paladin.. oops, I mean non lawful. Letting pc use this prestige class would totally ruin my plot in my current campaing, that immune to charm/compulsion thing. Oh well.

Then I'd like to have real fighter class. You know, one who is not clerical in any way (there are some good clerical fighter classes). There is weapon master, but that's example of horrible feat-demands-class too. Those I've seen this far are either too weird, too magiked up, screw fighter progress (worse than basic fighter, instead of specialized), take away use of heavy armor, or have feat-path set in stone.

And I like some of my own creations.

:)
