[QUOTE="Velderan, post: 9716822, member: 7038056"] My experience selling books I didn’t find a use for on eBay has largely been good. I purged a lot of my 5e stuff when I stopped running 5e games and the out of print stuff was usually worth 2-3 times what I paid. Green Ronin Critical Role book sold quickly and for 3 times what I paid for it. The WotC FLGS alt cover books tend to sell well, I think I had one that I took a loss on and that was more than covered by the others that increased in value. But beyond that it depends on the book. If Amazon has deeply discounted something, it’s obviously going to hurt your ability to recover anywhere near what you paid if you bought it for anywhere near MSRP. I had a couple WotC 5e books that I didn’t bother trying to sell because they weren’t worth the $5 or so I was going to get and I just dumped them off at a local used bookstore for the few bucks they gave me in store credit. Extremely niche 3pp don’t tend to do well either but oddly POD copies of old TSR books from DTRPG sometimes sell for more than they cost to buy, either because people don’t know what they cost, they don’t want to wait for it to be printed, or they didn’t bother to read the listing where it is clearly stated the book isn’t the original book until it is too late.
