Message: <blockquote data-quote="diaglo" data-source="post: 1162407" data-attributes="member: 2885">okay another scary one then:DM from my story number 2. <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f600.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":D" title="Big grin    :D"  data-smilie="8"data-shortname=":D" /> some background on the group: me (an OD&D (1974) gamer); a younger skinny chainsmoking guy doing an internship at a tech company here in ATL from Germany; another techie from Mich (who soon after moved back for a better job); a very heavy set guy (bigger in size than the DM) into CoC the only other married guy besides me in the group; and one of the DM friends from a former campaign.we had been gaming for about 2 months or so by this point. the CoC guy had been the newbie to the group as he joined 2 sessions after me. <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f609.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=";)" title="Wink    ;)"  data-smilie="2"data-shortname=";)" />anyway. the DM announced at the beginning of the session, he would like to add 2 new players. we had 2 other players in the group which were friends of the DM from an older campaign drop out due to scheduling conflicts. so the DM felt we could accomodate more. which was fine with the rest of us. the new players would be arriving at this session. all the DM knows about them is they are a couple. he had chatted with them online and by phone. the guys "real" name is Magus. i forget the girl's name. they end up showing up late.the guy is playing a samurai bodyguard half-red dragon something or other. he is older than me. which was a first. late 40's or so. his girlfriend is playing a noble ranger with some class tweaks and race stuff from 1edOA but converted to 3ed. she is supposed to be the talker in the group. but in fact the silent bodyguard...aka...Magus the player never shuts up the whole session. besides two minutes in i (and i suck at the rules) caught him cheating during combat. anyway the DM and Magus square off after an hour or so of this. Magus was a pretty burly guy too. but he was a smoker too. so he went out to smoke. the girlfriend looked to be about 18 tops. and she didn't say boo the whole session. they were either very good LARPers or just into some things i didn't do. Magus came back from his smoke break glaring at everyone for considering looking at his woman. which was funny he took it out on the other gay guy in the group the most. the DM called the session early. and we never saw them again. but i have heard from a few people in the area about meeting these guys. i laugh everytime they start with describing the couple.</blockquote>
