My one gripe (other than the length) is how his own rules always seem to get broken. I mean...No way to heal stilling... except there is, when the plot demands it, via a "lost" ability.No way to counteract the Oath Rod, except, again, when the plot demands otherwise.No way to use the One Power within a stedding... except that there is, and Back In The Day (TM), those ter'angreal probably would have been fairly common (The whole reason men escaped to the steddings in the first place was that there could be no temptation there... but with those ter'angreal, that's not even true). As an aside, regarding the game system: I like it well enough that I use that instead of Core DnD for my world. Magic System, defense bonus, latent gifts, etc. I think it does a very good job of rendering WoT within the d20 system, without resorting to a TOTALY new casting system. I mean, sure it can't (by the rules) do a lot of the main characters stats justice... but they are special, even the book says that some things are beyond stats.</blockquote>
