It was colder during recess than my jacket was prepared for, so I went just inside the doors and met a kid named Rich who promptly had me roll up a character. He was a Human Fighter with a Strength of 18/78, if I recall, and wielded a broadsword (2d4 vs. S/M, 1d6+1 vs. L). I don't remember what happened to him, but I had a pretty powerful wizard for a time after that. I think we were using the 1e Dragonlance book with mostly 2e rules (my PHB was 2e and had the warrior on the horse by Easley on the cover).Rich and I grew apart, so I started running for my brother and a couple friends throughout high school. It wasn't until sophomore year of college that I had a full group to call my own. They were all newbies, which was pretty cool actually. Since 3e had just come out, it kind of leveled the playing field.After college, I found a group on this site, and still play with a couple of those guys every few weeks. I've also just found a new group via EN World that I'm DMing for in Eberron, with the chargen session being this Sunday!</blockquote>
