[QUOTE="UngeheuerLich, post: 7238022, member: 59057"] I think the fighter is in a good spot. Especially when you can wrap your head around the concept of background plus class plus race is your character. 3 equal parts at level 1. I also think no class needs real revisions. Not even the ranger, although he needs the most help as his options are inbalanced and don't play well with each other. What we need instead is a downtime system that is even more flexible than what we found in UA. Some class choices need to be revisable. Ranger should with appropriate amount of downtime be able to learn new terrains and enemies. Every x levels you should be able to learn skills in an appropriate amount of time. Or at least be able to switch skills if you don't use them. Or maybe you may pick up half skills (limited jack of all trades) when you level up. That way you can expand every class a bit more without revising a single one. What is left is a few abilities that are tol weak. Favoured enemy could just assume that hunters mark is always cast on them. Or you may cast hunters mark for free even if you don't know it otherwise. The sorcerer weaknesses could easily be fixed by subclasses. While the first favoured soul and storm sorcerer were too generous with bonus spells, the SCAG storn sorcerer and the wild sorcerer have too few. The dragon sorcerer is ok, vecause he has mage armor always cast and gets more hitpoints. He would rather need some more simple weapons like the spear or so. And to justify posting in the fighter thread, you can easily add a few skills at level 3 and some ribbon ability to expand your archetypical role outaide combat. Level 3 is a good place to help out the background fulfilling that role. I really liked the shelved idea of battlemaster pluses. Limited maneuvers but extra proficiencies and ribbon abilities for the scout and cavalier. A bit sad that many people thought different.
