Then the group went plane hopping.In the LE gatetown of Ribcage, the group managed to mightily thwart - but not kill - an erinyes. She decided to take revenge. So she had a diviner find where the PC was from, went there, and used her powerful charm power to make the PC's widowed father fall madly in love with her. By the time that the PCs got back from the outer planes, she was already married to the PC's father and had turned the PC's room into a nursery.The group thought that she was a nasty, manipulative woman until other hints began surfacing, like people she'd gamble with and make sign IOUs. Turns out that she was collecting souls from innocents as she went along. When the PCs finally confronted her at a grand ball and learned that she was a devil, she explained to them how things lay:1. If they killed her, they would only kill her mortal body, and she would return to hell with the contracts for the 20-odd souls she had signed for while here - including the PC's father.2. She could teleport without error. If the PCs attacked her, she would teleport immediately to a public place and reveal herself to be a fiend. She advised them to check the laws; consorting with a fiend is punishable by death and conscription of all material goods.So please, she said, go ahead and try to kill me. If you try and fail, I will reveal your father to be a traitor; the King will hang him and you and your siblings will lose your titles, your honor and your inheritance.  If you succeed, you guarantee that you have damned two dozen innocent people here to hell.
