[QUOTE="Vraille Darkfang, post: 3172699, member: 16989"] I'd like to say this is Errata, as most every +X to an Ability score is an Even Number, due to the Ability Modifier System (IE +2 Dex = +1 Dex Mod, +6 Dex = +3 Dex Mod). If you have an Odd Ability Modifier it leads to the Spell sometimes giving a +2 Mod & sometimes a +3. Again, I'd LIKE to say this is well thought out errata to an existing spell. The overall Editing State of the Book pretty much leaves my ability to discern between Thought Out Changes & Oops pretty much 50/50. The change to Plus 4 makes sense. However.... Pg 211. Stun Ray. 7th Level Spell (I Repeat for emphasis) SEVENTH level spell. Up among Finger of Death & Holy Word. It's a Ray. That Stuns for 1d4+1 rounds. That's it. As is, the worst 7th level spell there is. So, let's go back to the Source; Dragon Annual 5 again. Same Spell, pretty much Word for Word. Only its a FIRST level spell. I'm not sure what in the Several Years 3.5 has been out that cused the DA 5 Ray to Jump up 5-6 levels but I don't see it (See Ray of Light, above). Both are really nice for 1st level spells. Maybe a bit too nice. Both are OK as 2nd Level spell. Maybe a bit less than OK. Anything else and there are dozens of better spells at a lower level. I'm going to leave them at First, though if I have a player test if (Play-test, get it?). I might bump it up to 2nd. Copy/Paste is nice. It does not remove the need for a complete editing job.
