Where can I find good mood sounds?

Hello.
The thread about mood-setting got me thinking, and I was wondering if anyone knew where I could download some good mood-setting sound files? You know, out-doors in the woods, night-time, rain, waterfalls, fires, sound-of-battle, streams, that dull deep under-ground sound, cyotes yipping, etc, etc... Any help would be very very very very much appreciated. Thank you.

Hello,

If you own the computer game "Neverwinter Nights", you can access all the ambient sounds in the game. If you look at the folder the game sits in, they are under "ambient" and are WAV files. I am guessing the same is probably true for many other computer games as well.

I have also had good luck with the samples on Sounds Dogs: http://www.sounddogs.com.

Finally, if you are willing to buy a CD, you can entire CDs filled with just sound effects. In larger music stores, they are usually crammed into a small section after the soundtracks section and sometimes mixed in with spoken word stuff.

I've found that a lot of times, you can find cds of thunderstorms, coyotes etc. at cheap stores like Target & Wal Mart. They sometimes come in a set of 2-3 cds. There's way too many to list but they are often like this :

(I used to work in a science store....so I know this brand, but there are others).

Science/Nature Stores will have them , but they will cost more. Check the discount places, and Ebay first.
